Marin Educational Adventures is the non-profit parent organization of SummerCrest camp. SummerCrest was established for the purpose of providing able students with both challenging summer classes and broadening non-academic activity programs.
Vision: Our vision is to combine the academic with the fun, to foster student excitement and wonder in learning, and to bring out these same feelings in enrichment and outdoor activity programs.
Personal Development: At SummerCrest each student is a valued member of our camp community. Team work, leadership skills, student confidence, mutual respect, and feeling of community are all components of our camp.
Maintenance of Skills During Summer: All on our staff are professional educators. Summer is a long period of time to shut out academic skills and stimulation. We seek to do our part to prevent summer learning loss.
Scholarships: We would like the SummerCrest experience to be available to students whose families might not be able to afford the tuition. We provide a limited number of need-based scholarships in consultation with elementary school principals. Please contact us for application procedure. Scholarships are awarded without regard to a student’s race, creed or national origin.
